Safety

Members of the university community are encouraged to be mindful of their environment and activities that pose possible safety risks. Consistent with good safety practice anywhere, staff, students, and guests should be vigilant in all activities that may be unsafe. At all times, whether working, attending an event or class on the Silicon Valley Campus, be alert to hazards, be cautious during activities that may pose risks, utilize resources that are available for support, and have a personal safety plan.

Everyone contributes to the safety of others; be an advocate for yourself and be an advocate for your community. Be prepared and always report safety issues when you see them.

Refer to the UCSC's Environmental Health and Safety department's website for information about the UCSC Injury and Prevention Plan (IIPP).
